Well after trying for days to get the main primary tube centered I gave up and decided to work with what I had. So I decided to make a plate that sits in the secondary hold to shoot a laser through and center the corrector
I then installed the Howie Glatter laser in the 2" holder on the back of the C-14
This then projected a beam up through the primary tube, its hard to tell but the beam is not quite in the middle.
What was no surprise to me was no matter how much I moved the corrector I could never get the laser through the whole.
I then had to mark and remove the secondary holder from the corrector so I could get it into a better position to offset the primary being off centered. I was then in business
I figured while I was on a roll why not align the Hyperstar lens so I installed a 2" adapter to it along with the laser to shoot a beam the other way.
I made an adapter for the other end of the scope to go on the visual back, and with a couple of turns of the collimation screws to the Hyperstar Presto I had a beam
This also projected a perfect grid on the wall
Now just to double check everything I reversed the visual back and the laser and shot a beam through the Hyperstar and I am dead on
Of course it is raining here and is supposed to for the next week but once I can test I will update this page
